Grrreat book, but requires some effort and expense,
I got this book for my husband as a Valentine’s Day present, not because I thought our romance needed work, but because I thought it would be fun and introduce us to some new thoughts. It *has* been a lot of fun, but after the first couple of weeks we switched to doing the romances every additional week because 1) even the “inexpensive” ones were turning out more expensive than we thought they would be, and 2) pulling an envelope on Sunday and performing the romance by Saturday just wasn’t sufficient time in a lot of cases! So now we switch off – I’ll do one one week, and he’ll do one the next week, and we pull our envelopes two weeks in development to give us bounty of time to plot.
Most of the romances have been LOTS of fun, and very romantic, but so far the “kiss of the week”s have been sortof dumb, and the “passion coupon”s just haven’t been manageable.
Don’t let those things stop you from export the book, though! The thoughts for the romances are FANTASTIC, even if they frequently need a modest (or a lot) of adapting to make them fit in your lifestyle – they at least give you a starting point to work with!
*DO* pay attention to the expense, though. So far we’ve wound up paying at least $10 – $25 MORE for each romance than she predicts. If you’re on a tight budget, this might just make you even more stressed. If you’re on a budget, I still recommend export the book, and then pulling ALL of the envelopes in development so you get a reasonable thought of what they cost, and maybe some thoughts for reducing the cost.

|A splendid book for romantics, or for those seeking to rekindle,
Laura Corn’s book is simply wonderful. The thought is so simple, yet it works very well. The book is filled with 101 thoughts for romantic evenings. 50 are for him, 50 for her (with the last one to be done together). The seductions are sealed shut, so you can’t see what’s inside them. All you know before opening it is the title, approximately what it will cost you, whether food or journey (by car) is required, and what season (if any) it is appropriate for.
Each week one or both of you take one and work on pulling off this romantic evening. A lot of the fun comes from knowing how much your partner will delight in all the effort you place into the evening.
The thoughts inside are very excellent. Some of them are simple and require modest plotting. Others are more elaborate. But all are fun to do. I won’t spoil it for you by telling you what any of them are, but, suffice to say, they are simply splendid.
It is right that there may be one or two that do not fit your personal situation. But, the plans are usually broad sufficient that with a modest thought and some modification, you can usually make it work.
One caveat: Laura usually describes on the cover of each seduction how much it is going to cost. In reality, you should probably count on spending a bit more than she plans; mainly if you make your own customizations to the plans she provides.
My wife and I have given this book to others we know and would recommend it to anyone who wants to rekindle those flames of romance; or to anyone who is simply a romantic at heart.

|A blueprint for getting a relationship back on track?,
My husband and I have been together 12+ years. Two kids and one house before long, we have fallen into a rut. (Sounds familiar?)
I’m thrilled that we have this book. Right, some of the thoughts are corny, but wasn’t that how it was when you first met your mate? This book reminds you how to be considerate, thoughtful, anticipating each “romance” together. You get out of it what you place into it.
We have experienced 4 romances so far, and for the most part they have been memorable, if not always exact. The icons are helpful to clue you in on preparation time, $ spent, etc. The anticipation is truly half of the fun. Two of our acquaintances have bought this book on our recommendation… it’s worth a look.
